ARZU, Inc (“ARZU“, “we” or “us“) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We know that you care how information about you is used. Please read the following to learn more about our online Privacy Policy.

We at ARZU manage our products, brands and services as well as enable the relationships with our customers and donors through the use of various websites. This online privacy policy (“Privacy Policy“) describes the practices and policies we follow online in collecting, storing, using and disclosing personal information as it relates to our websites:www.arzustudiohope.org www.peacecord.org (collectively the “Sites” or individually a “Site”).

This Privacy Policy applies to transactions conducted within the United States on the Sites. It does not pertain to information collected in other manners or offline.

What information does ARZU collect from me as an end user?
You can browse our Sites without telling us who you are or giving us any personally identifiable information about yourself.

When you visit the Sites, our web servers automatically collect limited information about your computer’s connection to the Internet, including your IP address (which is a number that lets computers attached to the Internet know where to send you data), domain server, operating system, and type of Web browser (“Automatic Data“). Automatic Data does not identify you personally. We use this Automatic Data to (i) deliver our web pages to you upon request; (ii) tailor our Sites to the interests of our users; (iii) help diagnose problems with our servers; (iv) administer our Sites in order to constantly improve the quality of the Sites; (v) measure traffic within our Sites; and (vi) prevent fraudulent use of the Sites by others. This Automatic Data collection may include but may not be limited to information collected by cookies, IP addresses, and transparent GIFs. We use this Automatic Data to report aggregated website activity and to better understand the needs of our users so we can make informed decisions regarding the content and design of the site.

In addition, you may provide us with personal information (“Personal Information“) when you use the Sites by explicitly providing this information to us (e.g., when you create a new account to make an online donation or purchase). Personal Information includes any information by which you can be personally identified and may include: your name, address, date of birth, phone, email address, credit or debit card number.

If you choose to provide us with Personal Information, we may store and use it with the Automatic Data to better personalize your experience on our Sites. We use cookies to identify who you are and may use them when you visit our Sites or open our emails. Cookies are text files that store very small bits of information on your computer’s hard drive. You may set your browser to block cookies or to notify you when each cookie is offered so that you can accept or reject each cookie, although doing so may adversely affect your ability to perform certain transactions, use certain functionality, and access certain content on our Site. How does ARZU use my information?
We may use and/or disclose your Personal Information for the following reasons:

  • to contact you in response to your inquiries, comments and suggestions;
  • to contact you otherwise when necessary;
  • for the specific purpose for which it was volunteered;
  • to track your use of our Sites for internal market research;
  • to improve our Sites and the services we promote or provide through our Sites;
  • to customize the content and/or layout of our Sites for each individual visitor;
  • to ask for your participation in brief surveys;
  • to be provided to third parties for the legitimate business purposes of those third parties;
  • to generate aggregate statistical studies;
  • to enforce this agreement;
  • to be provided to persons and entities that perform functions on ARZU’s behalf, such as fulfilling merchandise orders, sending mail and email, processing credit card payments or helping with the maintenance or set up of our servers or computers (“Third Party Service Providers”), where such persons or entities that have access to Personal Information needed to perform their functions are contractually prohibited from using such information for any other purpose;
  • in connection with an acquisition, merger, restructuring, sale or other transfer involving all or any portion of the business associated with the Sites;
    as required by law or regulation, or as requested by government authorities, or for the protection of persons or property; and
    for other business purposes.

How can I stop receiving emails from ARZU?
When you join the movement to empower women and spread peace through our Sites we will use that information to send you email updates. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you may do so by contacting us at dmcanany@arzustudiohope.org with the subject heading “unsubscribe” or by clicking on the link provided in our emails.

How does ARZU protect my Personal Information?
ARZU and/or its subcontractors institute reasonable electronic and administrative safeguards that are designed to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, including firewall technologies to help protect your data from hackers and other unwanted visitors. In addition, we use 128-bit Secure Socket Layer encryption (“SSL”) to protect your transmissions to us on our websites. SSL encryption seeks to ensure that you are actually sending your data to ARZU, and it seeks to protect the data during transmission. We also may use a managed hosting provider and/or other subcontractors to assist us with the provision and maintenance of our Sites. If we do, we will impose on such provider confidentiality obligations for the treatment of information.

How do I correct or update my Personal Information?
You are in control of the accuracy of your Personal Information. In order to ensure that all of your Personal Information is correct and up to date, you may review and update your profile online by logging in with your Username and Password athttps://www.arzustudiohope.org/ecommerce/control/checkLogin. You may also email any updates to us atdesignservices@arzustudiohope.org.

What about the privacy policies of other sites linking to the Sites or to which the Sites link?
Some of the sites listed as links herein will let you leave our server and are not under our control. Links to other websites are provided only as a convenience to our users. In addition, some users access our Sites via another site or a link on another site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, validity, policies, reliability or the content of any site other than our Sites. The existence of a link between our Sites and other third party sites does NOT imply an endorsement, authorization, sponsorship or affiliation of these other sites. We are not responsible for the content of such other sites, nor for the treatment of Personal Information that you might provide while visiting such other sites. There are risks in using any information, software, products or services found on the Internet, and you should make sure that you completely understand these risks before using, relying upon, or purchasing anything via the Internet.

What about information I post on a message board? 
Our Sites make message boards available to our registered users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information, and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your Personal Information, including any text, videos, or other images. It is important for you to remain aware that when you provide Personal Information in a posting on any message board, chat room or forum, that information is available to any other person or user having access and use of that message board, and may be used by someone in a manner unintended by you. For that reason, we discourage you from offering any Personal Information within a posting to any message board.

What constitutes my acceptance of this Privacy Policy?
By using the Sites, you expressly consent to the use and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may be amended as needed, so users are encouraged to review this page from time to time. The amended Privacy Policy will be effective upon posting on our Sites. We will also place an effective date on the Privacy Policy page reflecting the most recent date it was updated. ARZU may, but is under no obligation to, provide you notice of such modifications to this Privacy Policy via email or other communication. Your continued use of our Sites following the posting of changes to the Privacy Policy means that you accept the changes and our use of your Personal Information in accordance with the revised Privacy Policy.

What if I am outside of the United States?
Our computer systems and some of the computer systems of our Third Party Service Providers are currently based in the United States or other countries, so your Personal Information will be processed by us in the United States or other countries where data protection and privacy regulations may not offer the same level of protection as in other parts of the world, such as the European Union. Visitors who use our Sites and reside outside the United States do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable. As a visitor from outside the United States, by using our Sites you agree to this Privacy Policy and you consent to the transfer, collection, storage, and processing of all such information to the United States or other countries, which may not offer an equivalent level of protection of that required in the European Union or certain other countries, and to the processing of that information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Your California Privacy Rights.
For purposes of California residents, this Privacy Policy pertains to all information collected online, including through our Sites. Beginning on January 1, 2005, California law permits customers of ARZU who are California residents to request certain information regarding ARZU’s disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us through the information provided below in “How do I contact ARZU?”.

How does ARZU handle children’s privacy online? 
Our Sites are not directed towards children younger than the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from those under the age of 13, and we do not permit children under 13 years of age to become registered users of our site. No part of our site is structured to attract anyone under 13. By using our site, you represent that you are not under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child younger than the age of 13 has provided our Sites with Personal Information, we will delete that child’s Personal Information from our database.
